Bore Condition: The bore is darkening and has oxidation/pitting and distinct rifling.
Description:

Manufactured c. 1881-1891. This was Marlin's answer for demands for a solid frontier rifle, and this example is chambered for the popular .45-70 Government cartridge used in the Springfield Trapdoors.

Rating Definition:

Good with dark patina and oxidation/pitting, replacement sights and forearm, minor cracks in the refinished stock, and moderate overall wear. Mechanically fine.
