A) U.S. Burnside Spencer Model 1865 Saddle Ring Carbine

Description:

Manufactured by Burnside Rifle Co. c. 1865. Carved shape on the left of the buttstock.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with some of the finish, scattered patches of corrosion/pitting, and some worn markings. Wood is also good as sanded and re-oiled, with some handling marks, and cracks ahead of the buttplate. Absent Stabler cutoff device, absent rear sling swivel assembly, rear sight loosely seated. Mechanically fine.

Fair, with brown patina and scattered heavy pitting and wear. Wood is also fair with numerous scattered dents, chips, scuffs, scratches and cracks. Absent lock assembly, absent saddle bar/ring assembly, absent feed arm assembly, numerous absent screws, absent rear sight, absent rear sling swivel assembly, absent Stabler cutoff device, absent magazine tube. Mechanically needs work.
