Bore Condition: The bore is partially shiny with spotting, and softened rifling.
Description:

The included factory letter lists this revolver in .45 caliber with blue finish, and barrel length and grips not listed when shipped to the commanding officer at Springfield Armory in Springfield, Massachusetts on June 16, 1903. The letter goes on to state the original records for the revolver were lost or destroyed and that the records do list the revolver as having been returned to the factory and that the majority of the revolvers from this time had 5 1/2 inch barrels. "H.N." inspected frame, and triggerguard (numbered 48400), "A" inspected backstrap (numbered 7042). Faint "DFC" cartouched grip. Rating Definition:

Good as factory refurbished with an overall darkened patina, handling marks, and spotting/pitting. Grips are good as re-oiled with dings, scratches, and high edge wear. Mechanically fine.
