1) U.S. Ames 1860 cavalry sword, 41" OAL, 35" double fuller blade dated "1865", brass guard, leather grip, leather sword knot and an iron scabbard. 2) U.S. Springfield officers sword, 37" OAL, 31" blade with diamond cross section, etched decoration and "C.G.S." on the ricasso, brass hilt, with folding counter-guard, wire wrapped sharkskin grip, and metal scabbard.

1) Good, with spotting on the blade, tearing of the knot, and mild handling marks overall. 2) Very good, with minor spotting and wear.
