Description:

"1861" dated lock. Includes a socket bayonet, scabbard, and dark leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Fine as re-bored smooth with refinished metal exhibiting a mix of blue and dark brown, oxidation and pitting, aged patina on the mounts, and general moderate wear including dents and chips on the stock. Mechanically fine.

Description:

No visible markings. Likely manufactured c. 1830s-1840s.

Rating Definition:

Very good with gray and brown patina on the iron, aged patina on the brass mounts, absent peep sight and rear sight elevator, and general mild overall wear, including some dent and scratches on the stock. The set trigger needs adjustment, but the lock functions fine.
