A) U.S. Springfield M1 Garand Rifle with Grenade Launcher

Description:

Receiver manufactured in June 1943. Replacement Springfield "S-A-5-47" barrel with import marking on right of chamber, "-19SA" bolt, "9 SA" relief cut operating rod, "-12-SA" trigger housing, "2 SA" hammer. Includes a Fay & Scott manufactured M7 grenade launcher attachment and a green canvas web sling.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished, with discoloration, areas of brown patina, edge wear and scattered freckling. Stock is also good as sanded and re-oiled, undersized at the edges, with a crack visible on the right ahead of the buttplate, a small chip ahead of the floorplate, and a few minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured as part of the fourth production block from Underwood between March 1944 to April 1944 in the 6099689-6199688 serial number range. Serial number marking repeated ahead of the rear sight. Underwood "2-44" dated barrel, "SI B" marked front sight, "H" in a shield marked rear sight, "SI" type III barrel band, unmarked trigger housing with stamped trigger guard, "H.I." marked hammer, "W" magazine catch, "A.I." flat top bolt, "PI" operating rod, unmarked replacement stock and four-rivet handguard. Import marked left of barrel. Includes a Camillus M4 bayonet with M8A1 scabbard, and an oiler. Absent magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished, with much of the finish, and some softened markings in the metal. Replacement stock is fine with a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet is fine.
