Such rifles were only offered for from 1910 until the U.S. entry into World War I in April 1917. "SA/flaming bomb/3-16" marked barrel, "C 6" bolt, replacement parkerized upper band, rear sight with polished face and top volley notch, and "flaming bomb/N.R.A." marked trigger housing. 'S' profile grasping groove stock, with boxed "E.H.D." inspector stamp on the left of the wrist and "57/S/P" on the right of the butt, and a 'high-hump' handguard.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining original finish on the barrel action with a refinished upper band, some minor edge wear, some thinning with grey and brown patinas, some minor patches of spotting, and minor handling marks. The stock is also exceptionally fine as re-oiled with clear markings. The striker sear has been modified and the knob must be pulled rearward to activate the flag safety, otherwise mechanically fine.
