A) Magazine Converted U.S. Springfield Armory M1 Garand Rifle in 7.62 mm NATO

Description:

May 1944 production receiver, modified to accept Beretta BM59 magazines, "SA" and "7.62 MM" marked, "3 66" dated replacement barrel with parkerized chamber ring, "12SA/A8W" marked bolt, "NM" marked "RA" operating rod, and modified "-7-SA" trigger housing cut to accept BM59 magazines with an attached magazine release, "-7 SA" hammer, and unmarked milled trigger guard. The clip latch is modified with a BM59 bolt catch interface. Fitted with a replacement walnut stock set modified at the forend to accept BM59 magazines. Includes a reproduction M1907 pattern leather sling. Magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as reworked and refinished, retaining nearly all of the finish with some limited pitting under the finish and minor handling marks. The stock is fine as modified, sanded, and varnished with some light scrapes. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, from the third production block (serial number range 4,010,000 to 4,074,999) manufactured by Underwood Elliot-Fisher from July 1943 to March 1944. "8-43" dated Underwood barrel, "SI" marked type III barrel band, "shield/H" type II adjustable peep rear sight, "U" marked type III operating rod, "U" blued flat-top bolt, and an Inland milled trigger housing with unmarked push-button safety, unmarked type IV magazine catch and "IN" type III hammer. Fitted with a low-wood walnut stock, marked with "M-U" in the sling channel and a boxed "G.H.D./U.E.F." (Lt. Col Guy H. Drewry, Underwood Elliot-Fisher) and "ordnance wheel" cartouche on the right of the buttstock, and an "IO" two-rivet handguard. Includes a reproduction web sling, a metal oiler, and a detachable M3 flash hider. Magazine is absent. Note: This item is restricted under various state-level assault weapons bans and cannot be sold or transferred to residents of CA, CT, DE, HI, IL, MD, NJ, NY, and WA. Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining most of the original finish with some minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, scattered minor brown patina/dried grease visible, and minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine with some minor scrapes and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
