Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling.
Description:

Manufactured in 1953. Original, parts correct with "SA" marked and "4-53" dated barrel with bright chamber, post-war era Springfield Armory wide bas gas cylinder, "SA/US1" bolt, post-war "SA" operating rod, "13" follower, and post-war "SA" trigger housing with "SA" hammer and "SA-11" safety. Fitted with a "S.A./J.L.G." (Col. James L. Guion) inspection cartouched walnut stock set. Includes a matching M1 Garand data sheet, signed twice by noted author Scott A. Duff (dated December 10, 2001 and November 29, 2006, which confirms the rifles configuration with the added details of a throat erosion measurement of "3.25" and muzzle wear measurement of "1.75".

Rating Definition:

Excellent, retaining original parkerized finish with some minor edge wear, dried grease, minor cycling wear, and some minor handling marks. The stock is very fine with a clear cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
