Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with crisp rifling and light streaking.
Description:

Receiver manufactured c. 1939. "H S/flaming bomb/11 44" marked replacement barrel, "N.S." swept-handle bolt, and "H" bayonet lug. Fitted with a replacement Redfield globe front sight, a Lyman micrometer peep rear sight attached to the receiver, walnut handguard, and 'C' profile pistol grip walnut stock marked "S" in the cut-off recess, along with a "RCDC" marked black sticker label on the left and fitted with a door-less heavy checkered buttplate. Standard rear sight ladder absent. Includes a M1 pattern web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as refinished and reworked, with scattered minor patches of visible spotting/brown patina, and minor handling marks. The stock is very fine as re-oiled with some minor compression marks. Mechanically excellent.

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and minor oxidation.
Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1911. "RIA/flaming bomb/12-18" marked replacement barrel, "S" straight-handle bolt, and "H" bayonet lug. Fitted with a walnut handguard and replacement "S" profile grasping groove stock with boxed "J.F.C." (J.F. Coyle) inspection stamp on the left of the wrist. Includes a "ROCK ISLAND/ARSENAL/1916/T.C.C." marked M1907 leather sling and a nickel oiler in the butt trap.

Rating Definition:

Fine, as arsenal refurbished and assembled, retaining much of the finish with scattered visible brown patina, some minor pitting under the finish, minor patches of spotting/freckling, and light handling marks. The stock is very fine as lightly sanded and re-oiled with crisp stamp and grasping grooves. Mechanically excellent.
