Description:

Per a set of photocopied letters from Dora Liberace and the Liberace Foundation for the Performing and Creative Arts, this pistol is the former property of Wladziu Liberace; best known by just his surname, Liberace was one of America's most famous pianists, as well as one of the highest paid entertainers in the world during his heyday. Originally in factory standard blue finished Ballester-Molina, this pistol has been embellished and upgraded by engraver William B. Ellis (who does business as "Willy B's Customs", signed certificate of authenticity included) with scroll engraving, gold inlaid scroll work, candelabra on the right side of the slide and a treble clef on top, as well as an engraved piano on the right side and a reproduction of Liberace's signature on the left. The grips are a unique bone and laminate construction, with the left panel decorated with a metal coat of arms and the right a miniature keyboard. Also included is a small screwdriver and instructions for how to uninstall the grips for cleaning purposes.

Rating Definition:

Good overall, with most of the surface having turned a brown patina, with clean engraving, solid inlay and minor edge wear and handling marks. Grips are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
