Bore Condition: The bore is dark with some visible rifling and oxidation/pitting.
Description:

1955 production receiver, "HRA" marked and "3-55" dated barrel with bright chamber ring, "HRA" operating rod, "H.R.A./U.W. 058" bolt, and "-HRA N" trigger housing with "HR AC" hammer, and "H&R/F" safety. Fitted with a walnut stock set with serif "P" firing proof under the grip. Includes a reproduction M1 pattern web sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining much of the original parkerized finish with minor cycling wear, and scattered visible dried grease/brown patina, and minor handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with numerous minor dents and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured c. early 1944, from the only production block (serial number range 1,982,520 to 2,352,519) manufactured by Standard Products from April 1943 to May 1944. The left side of the receiver bears a "SA" rebuild mark under the woodline. Undated Marlin barrel, "JM" type III barrel band, "R" marked front sight, "shield/H" type II adjustable peep rear sight, "S H" type V operating rod, "U" parkerized round top bolt, and a "Q-NL" fabricated trigger housing with "N" rotary safety, unmarked type V magazine catch, and "HI" type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut low-wood stock marked "IO" in the sling channel along with a boxed "S.A./J.L.G." (U.S Springfield Armory, Col. James L. Guion) cartouche and "ordnance wheel" proof stamped on the left of the wrist, an "IO" marked four-rivet handguard, and a black painted "U" magazine. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, retaining much of the finish with some minor edge wear, light cycling wear, light spotting on the trigger housing, brown patina visible on the receiver and operating rod, and mild handling marks. The stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled with some limited light scuffing. Mechanically excellent.
