Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, "RA/flaming bomb/8-43" marked barrel, "R" marked bolt, along with "R" marked bolt sleeve, upper band, and stacking swivel. Fitted with a 'S' profile stock with "RA" (Remington Arms), "ordnance wheel", and boxed "FJA" (Col. Frank J. Atwood) inspector stamp along with a boxed "O.G" (Ogden Arsenal) rebuild stamp on the left side. Includes a reproduction M1907 pattern leather sling and a plastic oiler in the butt trap.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with some minor edge wear, some small patches of oxidation/freckling, dried grease, and some scattered minor handling marks. The stock is also very fine as lightly sanded and re-oiled, with a few minor scratches and clear stampings. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in late 1943, from the first production block (serial number range 3,250,020 to 3,651,519, with those above 3.56 million used by S'G' Grand Rapids) manufactured by the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors from May 1943 to May 1944. Undated Saginaw S.G. barrel, unmarked type I barrel band, "S" marked L flip peep rear sight, "SG" type III operating rod, "SG" blued flat top bolt, and "SG" milled trigger housing with unmarked push button safety, "SG" type III magazine catch, and unmarked type III hammer. Fitted with a walnut high-wood stock marked "RSG" in the sling channel and boxed "RIA/EB" (U.S. Rock Island Arsenal, Elmer Bjerke) rebuild stamp on the right of the butt, an unmarked two-rivet handguard, and a blued "SEY" 30-round magazine. Includes a web sling and metal oiler. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very good as partially reassembled back to World War II configuration, retaining some original parkerized finish on the barreled receiver with a few refinished components, light cycling wear, thinning revealing some brown patina, scattered patches of minor pitting and freckling on the barrel, and some mild handling wear. The stock is also very good as sanded and re-oiled with a brass pin repaired crack just behind the trigger guard. Mechanically excellent.
