Description:

1956 production receiver with "LEAD/6-66" (Letterkenny Army Depot) rebuild mark electro-stenciled into the right side under the wood line, "SA" marked and "10 55" dated barrel with parkerized (refinished) chamber ring, World War II era "-18SA/A-4<>" marked bolt, post-World War II "SA" operating rod, and pre-World War II era "-1 SA" trigger housing with "-9 SA" hammer and "SA-11" safety. Fitted with a replacement birch stock set with Letterkenny Army Depot orange "triangle" stamp visible under the pistol grip. Includes a matching Civilian Marksmanship Program certificate of authenticity dated April 4, 2000, a M1 pattern web sling, along with a segmented cleaning rod and plastic oiler in the butt trap.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with limited minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, some limited minor spotting/brown patina visible mostly on the operating rod, and minor handling marks. The replacement stock is also very fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent.
