Bore Condition: The bore is partially darkened with strong rifling and light oxidation.
Description:

Receiver manufactured in April 1944, "LMR" marked and "4-53" dated replacement barrel shortened to tanker profile with parkerized chamber ring, "-12SA/S-04<>" bolt, unmarked modified operating rod, and "-12-SA" trigger housing with post-war "SA" hammer, unmarked safety, and unmarked milled trigger guard. Fitted with a walnut rear handguard and stock. Includes an "AFH/1943" marked M1 bayonet and scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished and reconfigured, retaining much of the finish with scattered minor pitting under the finish, plum coloration on the receiver, some filing marks, some limited minor spotting, some light edge wear, and minor handling marks. The stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled with a small square shaped splice repair in the top of the butt. Mechanically fine. Bayonet is fine.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1944, from the end of the third production block (serial number range 4,879,526 to 5,549,821) manufactured by Inland Manufacturing Division from January to August 1944, with this range running into Winchester's second production block range. Undated "W/P" proofed Winchester barrel with importer mark on the left, "W" marked type III barrel band, "shield/H" type II adjustable peep rear sight, "S'G'" type V operating rod, "EM-Q" blue flat-top bolt, and "Q-TX" fabricated trigger housing with unmarked flip safety, "E.I." type IV magazine catch, and "circled R/R" type III hammer. Fitted with a M2 profile walnut low-wood stock and four rivet handguard, along with a "LU" marked blued magazine. Includes a nylon sling, metal oiler, and M4 pattern bayonet. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and subsequently assembled, retaining much of the finish with some minor edge wear, minor cycling wear, some minor spotting/brown patina visible, and light handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is good.
