A) U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 Rifle with Bayonet

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and some minor oxidation.
Description:

1921 production receiver, "S A/flaming bomb/1-18" marked barrel, "R" marked replacement bolt, "H" marked bayonet lug. Fitted with a replacement "S" and "D1836" marked 'C' pattern walnut stock set. Includes a "1908" dated Springfield Armory M1905 two-tone bayonet (numbered "332723") and canvas covered scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with much of the finish, thinning revealing brown patina, some minor patches of spotting, dried grease, and some mild handling marks. The stock is also fine as sanded and re-oiled with scattered minor scrapes and nicks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very good.

Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with strong rifling and some light streaking.
Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1943, "S C/ordnance bomb/2 43" marked barrel, replacement "H2" bolt with "R" bolt sleeve, upper band, stacking swivel, and front sight hood. Fitted with a straight profile walnut stock with faint boxed "S-S.A.A." (U.S. San Antonia Arsenal) and boxed "O.G" (U.S. Ogden Arsenal) rebuild stamps on the left side.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with most of the finish, an absent rear sling swivel screw, some minor edge wear, dust in protected areas, patches of pitting under the finish, limited spotting, and some minor handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and re-oiled with some scattered scrapes focused on the right side. Mechanically excellent.
