A) U.S. Springfield Armory M1 Garand Rifle

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly bright with strong rifling and some oxidation near the muzzle.
Description:

Receiver manufactured in 1954, "SA" marked and "1 54" dated barrel with finished chamber, "SA/A11" bolt, post-war "SA" operating rod, and "-14-SA" trigger housing with "-9 SA" hammer and "SA-11" safety.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished with some pitting under the finish, spotting on the elevation knob, and some minor handling marks. The stock is good as sanded and stained with areas of wood filler. Mechanically excellent.

Description:

Receiver manufactured in late 1943 as a part of the first production block from Winchester Repeating Arms Co. (serial number range from 1,000,000 to 1,349,999) produced from October 1942 to December 1943. "W" marked and circled "WP" proofed barrel, "AI" type II barrel band, "W" marked type III round bolt, "W" type V operating rod, and "W" milled trigger housing with "W" type IV magazine release, ""EW"" type III push button safety, and "W" type III hammer. Fitted with a 'low-wood' stock marked "W" in the sling channel and "W" marked four rivet handguard. Magazine is absent.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished and assembled, with some spotting/oxidation on the buttplate, light scrapes on the barrel, light edge wear, and some mild handling marks. The stock is also very fine with scattered dents and scratches, and a crisp cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
