Manufactured in 1887. Receiver dated "1887", "crown/Gothic letter proofed, "crown/DANZIG" and "crown/F.W." marked barrel. Matching visible serial numbers on the barrel, bolt assembly, trigger housing, barrel bands, and other small parts including the buttplate. Fitted with a "crown/Gothic letter" proofed walnut stock. The upper tang of the buttplate is unit marked "K.F.R./R.393" (Kaiser Franz Garde Regiment Number 2, Reserve rifle number 393). Includes a "STOLLA/WIEN" marked brown leather sling.

Exceptionally fine, retaining most of the original finish with some minor edge wear, some limited minor spotting/freckling, dried grease, and some minor handling marks. The stock is very fine with some minor compression and handling marks, along with exceptionally crisp stamps. Mechanically excellent.
