A) Swedish Carl Gustaf Model 1896 Rifle

Bore Condition: The bore is mostly shiny with strong rifling and some minor streaking/frosting.
Description:

Manufactured in 1905. Importer mark on the barrel, "crown/Gothic C" crest retained on the "1905" dated receiver ring. Matching partial serial numbers on the bolt assembly, magazine floor plate, both barrel bands, and buttplate. Fitted with a walnut handguard a grasping groove stock marked "crown/CS" on the underside and with a "6.46" and small "triangle" above the internal "9" on the brass stock disc. Includes a leather sling.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retaining most of the original finish with some minor edge wear, some scattered minor spotting/brown patina visible, and minor handling marks. The stock is fine with scattered light compression and handling marks. Mechanically excellent.



B) Czechoslovakian CZ/Brno Arms Vz. 24 Rifle with Bayonet

Description:

Manufactured in 1935. "BRNO" marked receiver ring with Czech "lion" proofs and "35" date markings. Matching visible serial numbers on the bolt and trigger housing. Fitted with a walnut handguard and unmarked grasping groove stock. Includes a bayonet and metal scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Very good as refinished, retaining much of the finish with softened markings, some minor edge wear, signs of sanding on the front bands, some scattered light patches of spotting/brown patina, some minor pitting, and light handling marks. The stock is also very good as sanded and varnished. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is fine.

Manufactured c. 1935. Importer mark on the right of the barrel. "CHILE/crossed rifles/ORDEN Y PATRIA/MODELO 1935" marked receiver ring, Mauser "banner" on the receiver bridge, commercial "crown/letter" proofed. Matching visible serial numbers on the bolt assembly, trigger housing, magazine floor plate, and both barrel bands. Fitted with a walnut handguard and stock marked with Chilean crest and dated "1935" on the left of the butt. Includes a leather sling, Chilean bayonet, and metal scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Fine, retaining much of the original finish with light edge wear, thinning on the balance with grey and brown patinas, some minor patches of spotting, minor freckling, and light handling marks. The stock is also fine as re-oiled with numerous light compression and handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very good.
