Bore Condition: The bore is shiny with strong rifling and minor streaking.
Description:

Manufactured in 1918. "H S/flaming bomb" marked replacement barrel, "W" and "N.S." marked replacement bolt. Stock marked with boxed "A A C" (Augusta Arsenal) rebuild stamp on the left. Includes a "1917" dated Remington M1917 two-tone bayonet and leather scabbard.

Rating Definition:

Fine as arsenal refurbished, with much of the finish, some minor edge wear, some light spotting, some thinning revealing brown patina, and some mild handling marks. The stock is very good as sanded and re-oiled with some light dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. The bayonet is very fine.

Receiver manufactured in 1943, from the second production block (serial number range 2,912,520 to 3,212,519) manufactured by Inland Manufacturing Division from September 1943 to January 1944, with this range including S.G. receivers. "11-43" dated Inland barrel, "SI" type III barrel band, "N" marked front sight, "shield/H" type II adjustable peep rear sight, "AOB" type III operating rod, "AOB" parkerized flat-top bolt, and "BE-B" fabricated trigger housing with "NS" push-button safety, "E-S G" type IV magazine catch, and "UC" type III hammer. Fitted with a high-wood walnut stock marked "S-HB" in the sling channel and boxed "RIA/EB" (U.S. Rock Island Arsenal, Elmer Bjerke) rebuild stamp on the right, an "IO" marked two-rivet handguard, and a blued "IA" magazine. Includes a "USN" marked Ka-Bar fighting knife, grey "U.S.N./MK 2" scabbard, "RUBON/K.C. 1942" marked web dual magazine pouch, and a spare blued "IA" magazine. Note: This item features a high-capacity magazine which has a capacity above 15 rounds and cannot be sold or transferred to residents in states where handgun magazine capacity is limited to no more than 15 rounds. Please check your local laws and regulations prior to bidding.

Very fine as arsenal refurbished, with most of the finish, some minor edge wear, some minor spotting on the buttplate, and some light handling marks. The stock is fine as sanded and re-oiled with a brass pin repair at the wrist and scattered minor scuffs. Mechanically excellent. The fighting knife is good with a re-attached blade.
