Description:

1) August Buermann ladies style spurs marked "star AB" and "STAR STEEL SILVER, lightly engraved heel bands, straight shanks, clover rowels, and tooled leather straps. Very fine, mostly bright with some scattered light patina and very good straps with moderate wear. 2) August Buermann gold gilded bronze spurs marked "HERCULES BRONZE" and "PAT'D/star" with straight shanks, light engraving, toothed rowels, and basket weave pattern stamped leather straps. Fair showing mostly the patinated grey protective layer between the bronze and traces of gold gilding, with mostly bronze showing on the interior of the heel bands. Moderate oxidation on the rowels and excellent straps.
