The right side shows the etching "Die Reserve und Landwehroffizierverinigung Mannheim/ihrem langjaehrigen, verdienten Ausschussmitgliede Oberleutnant der Reserve Hieronymi Weihnachten 1909", denoting a presentation from a Reserve and Militia officer's association to a Lieutenant Colonel Hieronymi, a long standing member of the organization, for Christmas of 1909. Hieronymi has not been positively identified. With a wire wrapped grip and eagle head alloy pommel. Fair overall, wih some edge chipping, sharpening, and hilt damage.
