Description:

An included document from The Gallant Pelham Military Antiques states that this tomahawk head was made at Rappahannock Forge in Virginia and was purchased by Mordecai Barbour while stationed near there with the Culpeper Minutemen. The document states that Barbour served as a private, lieutenant, and major, and carried the tomahawk through his time in the war. Also included is a grouping of relic firearms parts including flint locks and cocks, a percussion lock, and a few triggerguard pieces (none of the locks are complete). All of the items are in relic/battlefield recovered condition with heavy pitting, patina, and oxidation.
