Description:

38" OAL, 32" etched blade with "Henry B. Nix" on the right side, gilt hilt, gold sword knot, leather covered scabbard with gilt fittings. Sword very good, scabbard rough. No information on Nix was supplied with the sword, through records show a Lieutenant Commander Henry B. Nix as a graduate of the Naval Academy at Annapolis and naval aviator, lost in a fatal crash on Montague Island in the Gulf of Alaska in 1962. Provenance: The Collection Of Joe M Wanenmacher, JR
