Description:

Manufactured c.1944-1946, the Reising Model 65 is a blowback operated semi-automatic designed to emulate the weight and sight picture of the U.S. M1 Garand Rifle, and was used by the United States Marine Corps as a training weapon. Winged blade front sight and Redfield peep rear sights, with the Worcester address on the barrel, "D" at the breech, and the two-line model and caliber markings on top of the receiver. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, and includes a standard 10-round magazine. Consignor states that this serial number falls within the first 6,000 believed to have been sent to the USMC during WWII.

Rating Definition:

Good overall with original finish, handling marks, and light spotting/pitting. Mechanically fine.
