Manufactured in 1938. Built with a blued Winchester Proof Steel barrel featuring a single bead sight, factory markings including "FOR SUPER SPEED & SUPER-X 3IN", and choke marked "FULL". The barrel is mated to a blue action which is unadorned aside from the serial number and a small "5" behind the triggerguard. The gun is mounted with a lightly figured 18-groove forend and smooth pistol grip stock with Winchester rubber recoil pad. Length of pull 13 5/8 inches. Weight 8 lbs. 10 oz.

Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with some wear on the receiver extension and minor handling evidence. The wood has a few light scratches and marks. Mechanically excellent.
