Full octagon #3 weight barrel with a special order open top globe front sight, Stevens marked top flat, matching serial number on bottom flat. No rear barrel sight or mounting holes. Model 44 nickeled action with full coverage scroll engraving on the sides. Custom thumb rest on the factory four finger loop lever, opposing double set triggers, Stevens deluxe mid-range vernier tang sight with windage. Deluxe extra fancy American black walnut straight grip stock with cheekpiece, checkering, nickeled large Schuetzen hook buttplate. Custom checkered forend with a cork surface on the finger rest. Extra 22 caliber barrel numbered "2625" with globe front and matching length, weight and forearm which has two plugged palm-rest holes. The original owner was H.M. Spencer, a member of the Electric City Rifle Club, Scranton, PA. Documentation includes copies of shooting and fishing magazines of Mr. Spencer taking delivery of this rifle in 1898 at the 100 Shot Championship match in Madison Square Garden, NY.
