Description:

Two line Marlin/Ballard markings on the left side of the receiver. Loop lever, checkered pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and small nickel plated Schuetzen buttplate. There is no horn inlay on the pistol grip or the uncheckered forearm. The front windage spirit level sight is a reproduction. The 2-7/8" vernier tang sight is original. There is no cut in the barrel for a rear sight.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with approximately 70% thinning original blue on the barrel with scattered spotting. Approximately 40-50% casehardening remains on the receiver with light colors on the left side, breechblock and hammer mostly pattern on the right turned to silver. Most of the nickel remains on the buttplate. The wood is very fine with minor handling marks. The action is also fine.
