Description:

Three line patent marking on the left side of the receiver includes the 1875 reversible firing pin patent even though it is not applicable to the .22 caliber. The uncheckered pistol grip stock with small prong buttplate is the identifying feature of this variation. Non-adjustable sights on the barrel with graduated short range tang sight. Matching number on the barrel. Loop lever.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus with 30% faded blue on the barrel mixed with light surface rust and specks of light pitting. The casehardening on the action has silvered out, leaving a mottled pattern on the receiver, even gray patina on the breechblock and lever. There is good casehardening color on the sides of the breechblock covered by the receiver. The buttplate retains most of its nickel plating. The stock has some minor hairline drying cracks but few handling marks. The action is fine.
