Marked "HAENEL - K.K. SPORT / CAL. 22 LONG RIFLE" on top of the frame with the Haenel arrow logo on the left quarter flat. The ramp front sight takes interchangeable inserts. The rear barrel sight has three key adjustment screws, one for position on the rib, one for windage and one for elevation. The large peep sight on the wrist has key adjustments for windage and elevation. The pistol grip stock and forearm are checkered. There is a threaded receptacle in the bottom of the forearm, now missing. Sling eyes have been installed on the stock and forearm. Pre-WWII "CROWN / B" and "CROWN / V" proofmarks.

Excellent with 98-99% bright blue on the receiver, the barrel has 95% blue, slightly worn at the muzzle. The wood is excellent.
