Description:

31 1/4" double fuller slightly curved blade etched "Schnitzler/&/Kieschbaum/Solingen" above the ricasso on same side is etched "Wm Ern../..th Regt/N.Y.S.N.(G.?)". This last marking is very faint. Standard brass fittings with shagreen covering and triple wire wrap on the grip. The black leather scabbard has gilt a brass throat with one ring and another ring of slightly different design and is missing the drag. The blade has a standard etching.

Rating Definition:

Good with gray patina and light pitting towards the top. The quillon is bent forward and there is minor chipping at the front end of the grip cover. The wire is slightly loose but still intact. The scabbard is cracked and frail.
