Description:

This is a nice example of a very late WWII CYQ code Spreewerke Zero Series P38 pistol as manufactured at the Spreewerke factory in the northwest suburb of Berlin. The left side of the slide is marked, "P38" and "cyq" the wartime code for the Spreewerke factory along with a small "0" in front of the serial number, all highlighted in white. The serial number is also marked on the left side of the frame. The right side of the slide (and top left of the frame) has a medium size "U" proof in front of the slide serrations. The right side of the barrel lug is marked "B c" with the * proof and the left side is marked "cyq" and a single Eagle 88 proof. The locking block is serial numbered to the pistol and it has a single Eagle 88 proof on one side and a single Eagle firing proof on the other side. The grips are the correct wartime brown Bake-a-Lite versions that are marked on the inside with the wartime makers marks of a JW over 41, and the magazine is marked on the side with "P-38 v".

Rating Definition:

Arsenal refurbished with approximately 98% finish remaining. There is some minor spotting on the right side of the muzzle, left side of the barrel and left side of the frame on the lower edge. There are a few scattered minor dings overall. The grips are excellent with several scattered minor nicks and scuffs. All markings are clear.
