Description:

Made in 1911, a little under a year before the Bisley Model would be discontinued. This revolver was shipped to the Pacific Hardware Company on the 21st of October as a single gun shipment. The barrel is marked with the single line block letter address on top and "(BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT" on the left side. Casehardened frame with two line, three date patent markings and circled Rampant Colt on the left side. The trigger guard is marked with the "Verified Proof" and "W" marks on the left side, and a six pointed factory rework star on the right, indicating a factory repair (the revolver appears not to have been refinished at that time). Checkered hard rubber grips in the "humpback" configuration, with Rampant Colt logos at the top. The documents included are copies of original documents prepared by the ATF and Colt Manufacturing Company. The ATF, Colt Historical Research Department, and Colt Firearms Control Staff researched each firearm. This was part of an ATF investigation to ensure that each of the firearms were in fact original and not forgeries or renumbered in any way. The facts on the research information sheets are directly from the Colt records and Colt Historical Research Department. These documents verify all major features other than the grips which are replacements.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with approximately 25% of the original finish remaining, with some light handling marks overall. The barrel has strips of satin gray patina running down either side, with a light brown patina and original blue on the top, bottom, and in the protected areas. The frame is starting to silver out, with the original pattern remaining strong, and bright colors around the cylinder pin latch . The gripframe has a satin gray patina in the 'held' area, with original blue mixed with brown in the other areas. The grips are very good, with some wear on the checkering and a few light scratches. The action is excellent.
