A truly outstanding pair of custom embellished Colt DA revolvers that would be difficult to duplicate. The specifics concerning these revolvers are as follows: Blade front sight with checkered sides on barrel with the standard two line Hartford address hand engraved on the top, scroll and dot patterns covering almost the entirety of the sides, "COLT. D.A. 38" hand engraved in a banner on the left, and two bands of gold at both the muzzle and breech. The ejector rod housing is also engraved, with an oval scene of game birds flying over a hilly plain. The cylinder is scroll and dot engraved between the flues, with another two gold bands just ahead of the rear face. Almost the entire surface of the frame is engraved, with the pattern on the sides flowing seamlessly into the engraving on the gold washed trigger guard and backstrap. All screws are gold washed, and with the exception of the grip screw, engraved with a 'burst' pattern. The grips are smooth bird's head mother of pearl. In hardwood case with large carved Rampant Colt image on the lid and red velvet lined French-style storage area for two Model 1877 revolvers. (Both unengraved revolvers were originally made in 1902 and 1905).

Near mint as custom embellished except for some light handling marks. The action needs minor adjustment. The case is excellent, with some light external handling marks and some mild wear on the velvet.
