Description:

This is a early production rifle as manufactured by the Walther factory. These rifles have the early subcontracted receiver that was completely cosmetically machined. The left side of the receiver is marked with the dual acceptance proofs of the "Eagle over 359 and the Eagle WaA134" next to the large G43, serial number and "ac 44". The receiver is number "6523K" and the bolt carrier is number "6327L". The bolt carrier is the type three version with the reinforcing web, cocking knob on the left side and the hold-open latch on the right. The action cover is the stamped version with the automatic dust cover and the scope rail on the right hand side. The stock and handguard are the correct WWII laminated versions that is proofed with the correct Eagle 359 proofs on the right side of the buttstock (two each) below the sling slot, and in the pistol grip area. It is complete with a brown leather sling that is faintly marked under the button at the butt end and "I&F" on the tightener. Missing the magazine.

Rating Definition:

Partially refinished and assembled with approximately 70% finish remaining overall. The barrel retains approximately 95% of its blue finish with some wear at the muzzle and moderate wear on the front sight. The receiver has faded to a grayish patina in the front and on the bolt cover while the rear of the receiver has turned to a brown patina. The stock is refinished with only light handling marks overall and some age crackling of the varnish at the grip and right side of the comb.
