This is a very rare commercial version of the famous Russian Military Dragunov sniper rifle. These rifles were original developed and entered Russian military service in 1964 and have been in service through today. The operating system is a short stroke recoil mechanism developed from the AK47 rifles. This specific model was imported in early 1990s as a commercial rifle under the assault rifle ban which required some modification to the original configuration (it doesn't have the bayonet lug, and flashider). The rifle still retained the unique skeletonized buttstock with the long receiver to accommodate the larger 7.62 Russian rifle round along with the side mounted Russian sniper scope with the unique military range finding and bullet-drop compensated reticule with graduations calibrated from 200-1000 meters and the corresponding elevation knob on top of the scope. This scope is also equipped with the original military style lighted reticule for night viewing. The right side of the receiver is marked "TIGER / Cal 7.62X54 / MADE IN RUSSIA BY IZHMACH 1994" next to the serial number over "CAI. ST. ALB VT." The rifle is complete with the correct matching sniper scope, one ten round magazine, the original Russian canvas sling, extra light bulbs for the lighted scope, lens cleaning cloth, cleaning rod, buttstock cleaning kit, extra batteries , battery warmer military style leather carrying case and scope cover.

Excellent to near new with 99% of the original Russian military finish on the metal surfaces, the optics are crystal clear and the accessories all look like new. The rifle has all matching numbers including the scope. A very nice example of a near new Russian sniper rifle.
