Description:

This large polychrome bronze shows a large (17 point) white tail buck running through a birch forest. The buck is 20 inches long. The base and forest are 14" long, 16-1/4" high and 12-1/2" wide. The bronze has natural light brown body with white trim on the buck, white over black on the snags, and a darker brown on the base. The 1-3/4" thick wood plinth is 12" square. The bronze is signed "8/99/c 1996/Shoop" on the rear of the base with the foundry marking nearby. Wally Shoop (American, 20th Century) is a Cherokee Indian.
