This is a blowback operated semi automatic rifle which features a take-down barrel design. It has a blade front sight and adjustable early wheel rear sight, which were manufactured between 1956 and 1960. The receiver is lightly scroll engraved with a simple border and the top is grooved for a scope mount. 11 round magazine located in the buttstock that is loaded through a hole in the middle of the buttstock. Fancy checkered beavertail forearm and pistol grip stock with a checkered steel buttplate which is also marked with matching serial number. Complete with original early plain cardboard box numbered to the rifle with separate compartments for the barrel and buttstock. Also has the original manual, questionnaire and "thank you" card from Browning.

Very good to excellent. The rifle retains 98% of the original finish with scattered light specs on the rear portion of the barrel, bottom of the trigger bow and on the receiver. The wood is also excellent showing very little to no wear with a few light dings and scratches on the left side of the stock. The checkering remains very crisp. The box is very good with a couple of small tears on the lid flaps and one broken corner and some pencil marks. Most of the end label is intact and is still very legible numbered to gun.
