Built on the Mark X action and features hooded ramp front sight and rear single leaf sight, with single trigger, and butter knife bolt handle. Mannlicher style stock with cheekpiece, skip line checkering, and sling swivels. Complete with box numbered to the gun.

Near new with only a few very faint scratches on the barrel, and a small area of the stock near the rear sling swivel showing a scuff mark.

This is the larger Savage bolt action rifle, with dual rear locking lugs, and "High Pressure Steel" barrel. Manufactured between 1928 and 1940, this Pre War Savage was manufactured with a dovetailed front sight, a folding rear sight on the barrel and a Lyman receiver sight. Savage two line address on top of barrel. Left side of receiver is marked "SAVAGE / SUPER SPORTER / 3056". Action sports a chrome plated bolt, a smooth scalloped safety and a blued detachable magazine. Checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with black steel serrated Savage buttplate.

Excellent 98% original finish remains showing only the faintest of spotting on the metal and a hairline crack on the left side of the stock.
