Marked "DERINGER / PHILADELA" on the flat lockplate and top of the breech plug flat between the german silver bands. The top of the barrel has the agent marking "MANd FOR / F.H. CLARK & CO. / MEMPHIS, TENN." The copper front sight is dovetailed into the barrel. The rear sight is a notch in a raised rib at the front of the breechblock tang. The "sunburst P" on the upper left flat of the barrel is almost perfectly circular. The silver plated brass thumbplate has a fancy "R" engraved on in with the inner shield engraved across the edges of the initial. There is a light floral engraving on all metal.

Very good as refinished. The lock has been cleaned to gray with toning on the barrel and breechplug. There is a crack at the rear of the tang otherwise the stock shows no wear.
