Standard medium size Allen & Thurber pepperbox with Worcester markings. The pistol has a six-shot fluted barrel. The frame is fitted with a cap shield. The bag-shaped grip is varnished walnut. "ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER" is marked in the barrel flutes. The hammer is marked "ALLENS PATENT/1845". The frame and cap shield are hand engraved with simple scrolls.

Good, with brown patina and some light pitting. The barrel markings are sharp, as is the frame engraving. Grips are very good, with varnish loss and some light pressure dents and scratches. The action needs work.

Marked "ALLEN & THURBER / WORCESTER" on one barrel rib "PATENTED / 1837 / CAST-STEEL" on the next. "ALLEN'S PATENT" is stamped on the left side of the hammer. Lightly engraved frame. The nipple shield is missing. Smooth bag shaped rosewood grips.

Good, with brown patina and some light pitting. The surface has turned a brown/ gray patina, with a number of dings on the barrel, and some scattered spotting. The grips are good, with some cracks and varnish loss. The action is very good.
