The "ELG" proof mark on top of the barrel is the only marking on this pistol. The lock and barrel have been converted to percussion using the drum and nipple system. The contour of the hammer suggests American conversion. The holes in the lockplate were neatly plugged. The mounting furniture is iron and plain except for the turnings on the ramrod pipes. The ramrod is a replacement , slightly too long with no fixture on the end. There is no halfcock notch on the tumbler.

Smooth brown patina overall. The wood has numerous tiny dents and scratches but much of an old varnish remains. The lock is functional.
