Description:

The refurbish polish removed over half of the marking on the barrel. There is a hole drilled just below the knuckle in the backstrap and notch in the butt to accommodate a shoulder stock. The notch in the butt cut off the first number of the serial number. Other features include pinned half moon front sight with notched rear sight on the barrel latch, 6 round fluted cylinder, auto extractor, casehardened and checkered hammer and S&W hard rubber grips.

Rating Definition:

Period replated. Approximately 80% of the crudely applied nickel remains overall with patches of spotting as well as high edge wear and light pitting. The barrel has been cut down and sight readjusted. The frame retains 85% refinished nickel with scattered scratches and dings as well as some oil marks on the cylinder and the side plate. The hammer still shows nice checkering and the barrel latch and trigger show some nice color. The grips are in fair condition and have began to wear smooth. The action is a little loose.
