Introduced in 1962. Fixed front ramp sight with adjustable rear sight on standard barrel. The scope mount is a Redfield, two piece, JR mount assembly with steel rings and bases. The scope is a Leopold Vari-XIII (1.5x5) with Dual-X reticule. Other features include checkered bolt and a jeweled action. The rifle is finished with a very fine walnut stock with corresponding rosewood forend and grip caps. It also features full wrap around cut checkering pattern on the forend, a panel on the pistol grip and a raised cheek piece. Complete with sling swivel studs and a Remington rubber recoil pad.

Very fine near new. 99% plus original finish on all metal surfaces. The wood is also near new with only a few scattered light scratches. The 458 Caliber is the most desirable in the Remington 700 Model.
