Description:

This model was a late war variation of the famous No 4 MkI Enfield rifle. These were developed specifically for Jungle fighting in the Burma Theatre but the war ended before they were put into full production. The side of the receiver is marked "No 5 MKI (F)/ 6/47 AB 1244". The (F) marking is the designation of the Fazakerley factory in England where these were produced. It has the correct rubber buttplate, the unique front sight/flash-hider combination, and the smooth semi-pistol grip stock with numerous numbers and crown proofs. The side of the barrel, in front of the handguard, is marked with the British nitro and tonnage proofs, indicating export.

Rating Definition:

Excellent, with 98% of the original finish. There is some very light wear on the flash hider. The stock is also excellent, with some light dings and chips. The action is excellent.
