Canadian Longbranch manufactured No. 4 rifle with 1942 dated receiver and adjustable MK III flip-up rear sight. The left side of the receiver is marked" No 4 MkI* / LONG BRANCH / 1942". The left side of the butt socket is marked with serial number and "16L5523". The stock features the various Canadian markings on the underside of the grip and forend as well as " 16L5523" on the forend and on the bottom of the magazine. Complete with a replacement green canvas web sling.

Very good overall. Approximately 98% of the parkerized finish remains with wear on the muzzle and left side of the magazine. The buttplate has a grayish patina with scattered light spotting. The stock is very good with overall scattered minor dings, scratches and pressure dents. There are a few small gouges on the buttstock. All markings are clear. Mechanically fine.

Marked "crown/GR/BSA Co/Snt 22/IVo" on the right side of the receiver ring, with "E" on the left. The BSA stacked rifles logo is also on top of the rear of the barrel. The magazine has no interior parts. It is marked "22" on the left side. The left side of the receiver is marked " F T R 1954", British proofs on the left side of the receiver ring and serial number on the right. Serial number also marked on the front of the barrel band/bayonet attachment, and underside forend of the stock. Various proof marks on the underside of the pistol grip. Fixed front sight and adjustable rear tangent sight adjustable to 2,000 meters. Full stock and two piece handguard with sling swivels and a brass buttplate.

Excellent, with exception as above mentioned, 90% of the parkerized finish remains with flaking on the receiver and bolt handle. The stock is also excellent with overall scattered minor dents and dings. The buttplate is a nice pleasant aged patina with several minor dings on the toe. All markings are clear.
