This regulation Enfield rifle features the standard military front and folding screw-adjust aperture rear sight. The left side of the receiver is marked "4 Mk I" along with some small proofs, the wrist has another number "M ?94?", and the bottom of the magazine also shows the matching serial number. The right side of the receiver ring is marked with a Crown/GP proof over "ENGLAND", both late markings applied for export. The right side of the barrel at the muzzle is marked with the British tonnage/ nitro proof markings. Smooth hardwood stock with serrated upper hand guard, sling swivels, green canvas sling, and brass buttplate with trap door compartment. The stock is marked with the broad arrow proof on the underside at the muzzle end, and other faint markings appear in various locations.

Excellent near new,, 98% of the blue finish remains. There is some minor smooth gray wear around the muzzle, and a light brown patina on some of the other parts. The stock is very good, with a few scratches and scrapes. The action is excellent.

Model 1909 Mauser rifle as manufactured under commercial contract for the country of Argentina. The top of the receiver is marked with the large Argentine Crest and on the left side it is marked "MAUSER MODELO / ARGENTINO 1909" and the receiver sidewall is marked "DEUTSCHE WAFFEN-UND / MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN". The sights are the military style rear tangent sight graduated to 2000 meters with an inverted "V" front. The trigger guard, floor plate, follower, spring, and associated screws, pins, etc. are missing from this rifle. The stock and handguard are the correct European walnut versions with the flat buttplate and the right side of the stock, the lower stock section, pistol grip area and top for the handguard; all have a smaller circled Argentine acceptance proof. The stock is numbered to another gun.

The rifle retains 98% of the blue finish with thinning on the muzzle. The bolt assembly, receiver and bayonet lug assembly remain bright with a small area of spotting on top of the bolt and left side of the receiver. The stock remains very good with overall scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. All markings are clear.
