Description:

Type 14 Pistol manufactured by the Nagoya Nambu-Kokubunji Factory in March 1936. The pistol is complete with a brown leather clam-shell holster. The pistol features the pre-war rust blue finish with 'straw' colored safety lever, trigger and magazine release. The pistol has the early small trigger guard and early cocking knob. The magazine has a nickel-plated body numbered "168" on the spine and a cast aluminum base. The wood grip panels have 25-grooves. The right side of the frame is stamped with the Nambu-Kokubunji symbols followed by the serial number. The last three digits of the serial number "920" are stamped on the top of the bolt, inside face of the cocking knob and the left side of the trigger. The Showa date of manufacture, "11.3" is stamped on the right side of the frame behind the grip panel. Inspection symbols are stamped in front of and under the date. All markings are highlighted in white. A white Japanese character is marked on the inside of the holster flap.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The pistol retains 95% of the original rust blue finish with minor wear on the muzzle and thinning and light spotting on the grip straps. 80% of the straw colors remain with the face of the trigger a smooth mottled grayish patina. There is a minor scratch on the left side of the frame from moving the safety lever. The grips are also excellent with little wear and scattered overall minor dings and dents. The holster is very good with light wear on the edge of the flap and overall light scuffs. All the stitching is tight.
