26-5/8 inch blade with regular temper line. The 6-3/4 inch tang is signed on both sides apparently by Sato Shiganori. The date is late, possibly WWII. The hilt and tsuba are military but the scabbard is simple black painted wood with no mounts except the ring on a silver band.

Rating Definition:

The blade is bright with a couple of grain cracks towards the spine. The edge and body are fine. The scabbard is fair.
