This is a very nice Danish Madsen Model 47 rifle that was produced under contract for Columbia. These rifles were manufactured in the late 1950s for the Columbian Army, in the desirable 30 caliber. The receiver is marked "FUERZAS ARMADAS / DE / COLUMBIA" and the side of the receiver is marked "MADSEN M.G/A" followed by the serial number and "Cal. 30". These rifles used a modified Manlicher style bolt action receiver with several unique features. All metal surfaces are blue with a parkerized bolt assembly. The rifle has a fully adjustable rear sight that has both elevation and windage adjustments, a fixed muzzle brake, a hooded front sight and a one inch rubber recoil pad. It has a fixed magazine that extended below the stock for increased capacity. The stock is a one piece pistol grip with a handguard, bayonet lug and green canvas sling.

Excellent. The rifle retains 99% of the original finish with only a minor scuff on the top of the front barrel band. The stock is excellent as well with a few overall scattered minor nicks and dings. The sling is in near new condition with some corrosion.
